Engaging Early Learners

It’s a magical thing to see young children captivated by a new learning activity, eyes wide open with newly discovered insights and thoughts taking root in their young minds. These are the moments that early childhood educators cherish.

Dr. Belinda Karge, Professor of Doctoral Studies at Concordia University Irvine and a Professor Emeritus from California State University Fullerton, brought her latest publication and learning materials to the Gulf Coast yesterday and shared new strategies for engaging early learners! Roxane Moore accompanied Dr. Karge and together they shared a wealth of information (and fun activities) in a fast-paced, hands-on training session!

The 11 strategies shared in “Engage Early Learners: Instructional Strategies to Foster Oral Language” will help early educators win many of the cherished moments spoken of earlier, and provide strategies to improve teacher-child and child-to-child interactions. A copy of “Engage Early Learners: Instructional Strategies to Foster Oral Language” was given to each training participant along with lots of other fun goodies!
