GRECS Selected as Head Start Grantee for Baldwin, Clarke and Escambia Counties

August 1, 2019 (Mobile, AL) Gulf Regional Early Childhood Services, Inc. (GRECS) has been selected by the US Department of Health and Human Services to be the Head Start and Early Head Start grantee for a three county area in Southeast Alabama. With this award, GRECS is funded to serve 339 children with free educational services for eligible families in Baldwin, Clarke, and Escambia counties. The new program will make center-based Early Head Start available for the first time in this service region. Early Head Start serves children ages birth through three years. GRECS was selected as the grantee for the program through a competitive grant process.
